ABOUT ME

Hello and welcome to my little corner of the internet! I'm Hannah, a filmmaker, photographer, and creative storyteller.

Never without my camera (his name is Michael)!
Happiest when fleshing out a creative vision.

Middle-school-aged Hannah snaps a selfie.
In sixth grade, I stumbled across a little app called Instagram and found a budding community of young photographers. Inspired, I spent countless summers doing DIY photoshoots with my mom's flip phone. Over the years, I've developed a distinct visual style that focuses on capturing vibrant colors and deeply human emotion.

The baseball cap is a necessity on set.
Directing some insanely talented dancers for a music video!

My love for film came later, but grew to be just as strong. My favorite stories to tell involve crass-mouthed female characters, underrepresented narratives, and who we are when no one's looking.

Small gal, big camera.

Probably thinking about the shotlist. Or coffee.
During my time as a film major at Northwestern, I was fortunate enough to be selected for the Advanced Directing Sequence, receive a Departmental Excellence Award, win a Multicultural Filmmakers Grant, work on dozens of student film sets, and most importantly, get to collaborate with some really cool people.

Creative problems require creative solutions.

Just another day hanging off the side of a U-Haul.
As I enter the next chapter of my life, I'm ultimately working towards a career as a writer/director/creator of beautiful things. Until then, you can spot me around town assuming various weird positions in pursuit of the perfect shot.

Hit me up anytime for booking, collaborations, or just to talk about your favorite movies (currently, mine's Everything Everywhere All At Once). Thanks for stopping by!
